Safety & Compliance
Safety is not a feature at GetTranzport — it is the foundation of everything we do. Our SafeGuard verification system is a three-layer safety protocol that every driver must complete before they can accept their first passenger booking. Here is how it works, and why it matters for you.
Layer One: Identity Verification. Every driver applicant submits government-issued identification, proof of address, and proof of driving eligibility. We verify these documents through third-party agencies and cross-reference them against international watchlists. Drivers with any history of violent crime, fraud, or driving-related offences are automatically disqualified.
Layer Two: Vehicle and Insurance Inspection. The vehicle a driver plans to use undergoes a thorough mechanical inspection by a certified technician. We check brakes, tyres, lights, suspension, and safety equipment. Additionally, we verify that the driver carries adequate commercial insurance that covers passengers, luggage, and third-party liability. Vehicles older than ten years or with excessive mileage are not accepted.
Layer Three: Driving Assessment and Training. Even experienced drivers must complete a practical driving assessment with a GetTranzport evaluator. This includes highway driving, urban navigation, passenger interaction scenarios, and emergency response procedures. Drivers who pass then complete an online training module covering customer service, safety protocols, and platform procedures.
But SafeGuard does not stop at onboarding. We continuously monitor driver performance through passenger ratings, GPS tracking, and periodic re-assessments. Any driver whose rating drops below 4.5 stars receives additional training and mentoring. Drivers with repeated safety complaints are suspended pending investigation.
For passengers, SafeGuard means peace of mind. When you book a GetTranzport transfer, you know your driver has been vetted three times over, their vehicle has been inspected, and their performance is continuously monitored. You also have access to real-time GPS tracking, an emergency contact button, and 24/7 customer support.
We also invest in technology to enhance physical safety. Our app includes a share trip feature that lets you send your live route to family or friends. The SOS button connects you directly to our emergency response team, who can dispatch local authorities to your GPS location if needed.
In 2025, our SafeGuard system helped prevent over 200 potential safety incidents before they could affect passengers. From identifying a driver with an expired insurance policy to flagging a vehicle with worn brake pads, these proactive measures are the difference between a safe journey and a dangerous one.
We believe that trust is earned, not assumed. That is why SafeGuard is not a one-time check — it is a continuous commitment to your safety, on every single trip.
